Terms of Service

By installing the Foldif browser extension, creating an account, or accessing any part of our service at foldif.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use Foldif. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Foldif is a browser extension and companion web service that allows users to organize, search, and compare conversations across ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), and Gemini (Google). Foldif is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.

Foldif operates by reading the user interface of supported AI platforms. Because these platforms may change their interfaces without notice, certain features may temporarily become unavailable. We will work to restore compatibility within 24 hours of detecting a breakage.

To access paid features, you must create an account with a valid email address.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You may not create accounts for others without their explicit consent.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@foldif.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Foldif offers three tiers:

All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, VAT/sales tax calculation, and payment security. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.

Foldif uses a Progressive Launch Ladder: the monthly price starts at $4.99 at Drop 0 and increases by $1 each week for 10 weeks, reaching a final price of $14.99/mo.

The price you subscribe at is locked permanently. This means:

• If you subscribe at $4.99/mo during Drop 0, you pay $4.99/mo for as long as your subscription remains active.
• Your locked price applies regardless of future price increases for new subscribers.
• If you cancel your subscription and re-subscribe later, you will be charged the current price at the time of re-subscription — your locked price is forfeited upon cancellation.
• Lifetime purchases are a one-time payment; no recurring charges apply.
• Annual plans are billed at 10× the monthly price locked at signup.

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting support@foldif.com.

• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until that date.
• After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free tier. Your data and folders are preserved for 90 days; after that, cloud-synced data may be deleted.
• Important — Price Lock forfeiture: Cancelling your subscription forfeits your locked price. Re-subscribing will be at the current public price.
• Lifetime purchases cannot be cancelled (they are one-time payments with no recurring charge).

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all new subscriptions and lifetime purchases. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your purchase at support@foldif.com and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked.

• Refunds are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
• Refunds are not available after the 14-day window, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
• Partial refunds for unused subscription time after the 14-day window are not provided.
• If a feature critical to your use case breaks and we fail to restore it within 7 days, you are entitled to a prorated refund for that period regardless of the 14-day window.

The Free tier is provided as-is with the following limitations:

• 1 supported platform (ChatGPT only)
• Maximum 3 folders
• Title-based search only (no full-text search)
• Maximum 5 saved prompts
• No cloud sync or cross-device access
• No Cross-LLM features (Compare, Search, Folders, Transfer)

We reserve the right to adjust Free tier limits with 30 days' notice. Paid subscribers are not affected by Free tier changes.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
• Use the service to scrape, harvest, or collect data from AI platforms in ways that violate those platforms' own terms of service.
• Share, resell, or transfer your account or subscription to another person.
• Attempt to circumvent license verification or use the service without a valid subscription where one is required.
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.

All content, branding, code, and design of Foldif is the property of Foldif and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for your personal or internal business purposes. You do not acquire any ownership rights by using the service.

Foldif is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foldif shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction. EU residents retain any mandatory consumer protection rights under their local law regardless of this clause.
